About Us
Starting in 2005 from a kitchen table in the suburbs of Wellington, CBIS now occupies an office in Wellington CBD and manages an extensive portfolio of properties and a wide variety of services pertaining to building code compliance, legal expertise, and wider building management. The director has been in the building industry for nearly 40 years, and has experience in many different aspects of building construction and compliance.
A lifetime in the building industry has given Eddy Saul broad experience of almost all aspects of Buildings and Building compliance (as well as grey hairs and a bad back). From building on sites ranging from cottage building to heavy construction, Eddy became a senior Consents technical officer at the Wellington City Council with responsibility for the most complex construction projects in the city. On leaving Council Eddy joined CBIS in 2008 and is now Managing Director. In his spare moments he teaches Building Code Compliance and Construction papers at Victoria University
